Liverpool duo Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho are set to make their non-competitive debuts for the club against Manchester United after being named in Jurgen Klopp's squad for Tuesday's pre-season friendly in Bangkok.
Klopp led his side out in Monday's training session at the Rajamangala Stadium following their arrival in Thailand, where Nunez appeared to be struggling with a foot problem.
The Uruguay international is only thought to have been dealing with a painful blister, though, and he has been given the green light to feature in Tuesday's 2pm kickoff.
Carvalho has joined Nunez in Klopp's matchday squad for the meeting with the Red Devils, but fellow new signing Calvin Ramsay is not involved due to a minor injury.
The Reds also welcomed their international crop of players back for their first training session on Monday, and the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alisson Becker will all feature in Tuesday's friendly.
As well as the injured Ramsay, Diogo Jota will not be involved for the Reds either, as the Portugal international continues to recuperate from the hamstring injury he sustained during the most recent Nations League period last month.
"The plan for United is to use all of our players, except a couple maybe. We will see, but we know one of them is Diogo because of a little issue he has from earlier in the summer," Klopp told liverpoolfc.com.
"It's nothing serious but we decided not to take the risk with him for this game, especially as it's only our first game of the pre-season.
"Pretty much all of the rest of the boys will all get some minutes. We have brought a big squad here, some young boys and the more senior guys, and we give them all some time.
"The international boys only started back with us on Monday but, as you can imagine, they have come back in outstanding shape, which is not a surprise, so that means they will get some time tonight. We will make plenty of changes too, of course, throughout the game. We will need to.
"It means Darwin will be in the squad and Fabio will play for us for the first time and I'm sure our supporters will be pleased about that.
"But the game is an important one in our preparations, so we will give it a try and any game against United is always a good one."
Salah is back in Liverpool training after ending speculation surrounding his future by signing a new three-year deal with the club until the summer of 2025.
Following their showdown with the Red Devils, Liverpool will face off against Crystal Palace in Singapore before subsequent trips to RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg.
Liverpool return to Anfield to conclude their pre-season against Ligue 1 side Strasbourg on July 31 ahead of their Premier League opener with Carvalho's former club Fulham at Craven Cottage on August 6. body check tags ::
