Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has said that derbies are 'always special' as the Red Devils prepare to face rivals Manchester City in pre-season on Monday.
In what will be the first ever Manchester derby outside of England, Man United will meet Man City in Beijing as both clubs build towards the start of the new Premier League season.
De Gea has admitted that some of the intensity will be lost due to the nature of the clash, but insists that his team will be "going to try and win".
"It is not the same, playing away from your country, in China against City," De Gea told reporters. "But it is always a special game and of course we are going to try and win."
De Gea could make his first pre-season appearance against Man City after sitting out the matches with Wigan Athletic and Borussia Dortmund thus far following his participation at Euro 2016 with Spain.
