Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is confident that the club's supporters will enjoy watching the team under the management of new head coach Erik ten Hag.
A disappointing 2021-22 campaign saw the Red Devils finish sixth in the Premier League table, in addition to being knocked out of the FA Cup in the fourth round and EFL Cup in the third round.
Man United did make the last-16 stage of the Champions League last term but were knocked out by Atletico Madrid, losing 1-0 at home in the second leg of their knockout fixture.
The club are now preparing for the new season under Ten Hag, who has been in charge of pre-season training at the Carrington complex over the last week.
De Gea is confident that the Man United fans will "love" the new style of football, and the Spaniard has also said that the players are "all very excited for the new season".
"I think we are all very excited for the new season, for the new manager. He plays a very good [type of] football so for sure the fans will love it," De Gea told MUTV.
The 31-year-old has also said that he is looking forward to the club's upcoming pre-season tour, with the team due to fly out to Thailand next Friday.
"I think it's great to be able to travel first and be able to play in front of fans, especially away from England, around the world. It's always great to be with the fans and try to make them enjoy [the experience]," De Gea told MUTV.
"It's been tough years with the Covid situation so to be able to travel around the world and be with our fans, I think it is going to be very, very nice. We can't wait, the whole team."
Man United's preparations for the 2022-23 campaign will see them take on Liverpool in their tour opener in Bangkok on July 12.
Ten Hag's side will then make the trip to Australia, where they will take on Melbourne Victory, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa before returning to Europe to face Atletico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano.
The clash with Rayo on July 31 will be Ten Hag's first home game in charge of the Red Devils, and the fixture comes one week before their Premier League opener against Brighton & Hove Albion.
A busy August will also see the 20-time English champions take on Brentford, Liverpool, Southampton and Leicester City in the league.
Man United are yet to make a first-team signing this summer, but the club are said to be nearing deals for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong and Feyenoord's Tyrell Malacia.
Free agent Christian Eriksen and Ajax's Lisandro Martinez are also being strongly linked with moves to Old Trafford, as Ten Hag prepares to put his stamp on the club this summer. body check tags ::
