Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has hailed Paul Scholes for his performance against Wigan Athletic in the Premier League on Saturday.
The veteran Englishman scored on his 700th appearances for the Red Devils, as they registered a comfortable 4-0 win at Old Trafford.
"Paul over his career has always been fantastic at that," Ferguson told Sky Sports about Scholes's goal.
"Remembering him as a central midfielder who could go in the box all the time, but obviously over the years we've used him more as a controlling central midfield player, and there is no one better at what he did today."
United are currently second in the league table with nine points from four matches, just a point behind leaders Chelsea.
