Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed that the prospect of a pre-match handshake between Manchester United's Patrice Evra and Liverpool's Luis Suarez has "never been an issue".
The pair are expected to come face to face with one another for the first time since the Uruguayan was served an eight-match ban after being found guilty of racially abusing the Red Devils defender in October.
While a fierce encounter is on the cards for tomorrow's Premier League clash, Ferguson has stated that the English champions are focused on the game.
"We've just got on with our job," Ferguson said in a press conference. "We've kept our dignity throughout, we just concentrate on the game.
"I've not bothered with [talking to Evra about the handshake], it's never been an issue. We're concentrating on the game itself with the training."
The arch rivals kick off at Old Trafford tomorrow.
