Manchester United attacker Bruno Fernandes has revealed that new interim manager Ralf Rangnick wants the team to be "more aggressive" and place "more pressure" on their opponents.
Rangnick got off to the best possible start on Sunday afternoon, as his new side recorded a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace courtesy of a second-half effort from Fred.
Fernandes said that "everyone knows" the German wants to play a high press during his time at the helm, and the Portugal international was delighted that his team were able to make it back-to-back victories in the Premier League with a one-goal success over the Eagles.
"It depends on the game," Fernandes told Premier League productions. "Sometimes you have to press a little bit more, sometimes you have to press less and everyone knows that it's one of the things that the manager wants from us. More pressure, to be more aggressive. We tried to do it [today].
"I think the first 25 minutes from us was unbelievable, great tempo and we don't give any space to them. We recovered a lot of balls high up the pitch.
"We could have scored many times in the first half I think, at least three times we could do a little more. But we got the three points and that's the most important thing."
Fernandes has scored five times and registered nine assists in 21 appearances for Man United during the 2021-22 campaign. body check tags ::
