Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reportedly taken a 95% pay cut to join Los Angeles Galaxy.
On Friday, the 36-year-old completed a transfer from Manchester United to the MLS side after the Red Devils agreed to cancel his contract before the end of the season.
Ibrahimovic scored 29 times in 53 appearances for United, but failed to fully overcome the serious knee injury that ended his 2016-17 campaign.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the move will see Ibrahimovic's wages go from €21.8m (£19m) a year to €1.2m (£1m) a year.
With all four franchise player spots having been filled, LA Galaxy could not exceed a €3.2m (£2.8m) wage limit, which meant that they could only afford to spend €1.2m on the Swede.
Ibrahimovic could make his LA Galaxy debut against local rivals Los Angeles FC on March 31.
