Real Madrid's James Rodriguez could reportedly be available for less than €30m (£26.3m) this summer.
The Colombia international has been widely linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, and Manchester United are said to have joined the race to sign the midfielder.
The 28-year-old has struggled for consistent game time this season, making only seven league appearances for Zinedine Zidane's side during an injury-hit 2019-20 campaign.
According to MEN Sport, Real are looking to offload the South American this summer and will slash his asking price in order to do so.
However, the report also claims that United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is prioritising younger, homegrown players in the transfer market, effectively ruling the Red Devils out of the running to sign Rodriguez.
Arsenal, Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers have also been credited with an interest in Rodriguez, who will see his current deal at the Bernabeu expire in 2021.
