Patrick Kluivert has admitted that he has been impressed with the way that Daley Blind has adapted to life at Manchester United.
Twenty-four-year-old Blind arrived at Old Trafford from Ajax for £14m in August and he has gone on to make four appearances for the Red Devils.
Reflecting on the "quality" of Blind's performances so far, Kluivert has backed his fellow Dutchman to "continue to grow".
"Daley gives great protection for the defence – that's one of his real strengths. At the moment he's playing left-back for the Dutch national team but I think he is even stronger as a midfielder," he told the club's official website.
"He can divide a game very well. He's very calm, he's good at winning possession and his vision is excellent. The fans have already seen his quality and I think he will continue to grow."
Blind is expected to start for United away at West Bromwich Albion this evening.
