Frank Lampard has praised the ability of Leroy Sane, claiming that the Manchester City winger is starting to show similarities to Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs.
Sane has played a leading role for City during the current campaign, with nine goals and 13 assists coming in 33 appearances in the Premier League and Champions League.
The 22-year-old is expected to feature when City face Liverpool in the Champions League quarter-finals, and Lampard has suggested that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp must give extra thought when deciding how to deal with the German.
Lampard told the London Evening Standard: "He is already looking an absolute bargain given the current market.
"The way Sane tiptoes through defences, his movement, his intelligence and speed makes me think back to what Giggs was like, but what I also love is that he's happy to do the simple things.
"There are so many factors in the first leg on Wednesday, but I will be interested to see who plays up against Sane at right-back for Liverpool."
Sane has scored 22 goals in 78 appearances in all competitions since joining City in August 2016.
