Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Anders Lindegaard will be absent from the Manchester United training ground for a week after suffering a setback in his recovery from an ankle injury.
The 27-year-old has been sidelined since January after damaging his ankle ligaments, but was hit with another blow which prompted speculation that the Denmark international may miss the rest of the season.
"He was training very well and maybe overdid it," said Ferguson. "We have given him a week off to give him a rest but he should be back before the end of the season."
Lindegaard has made six appearances for the English champions this season.
