Romelu Lukaku has spoken of the lengths that Paul Pogba went to in a bid to convince the striker to join Manchester United.
The Belgian international sealed a £75m switch to Old Trafford earlier this month after spending the last three years at Everton.
Lukaku has had a friendship with Pogba for some time, and now the 24-year-old has revealed that his fellow Premier League player often drove the pair past Old Trafford to persuade him to join the Red Devils.
"I spoke with Paul a lot, obviously. We spent our holiday [in the United States] together and he said, 'What do you want to do?' I told him that I was thinking a lot about signing for United, something was telling me [to do it]," The Mirror quotes Lukaku as saying.
"I live near Manchester so, when I was coming to the city [centre], I would drive past Old Trafford and ask my mates what they thought. Me and Paul, we'd go to the city to have dinner and he'd drive past Old Trafford on purpose."
Lukaku is likely to make his first Premier League appearance for United when the team face West Ham United at home on August 13.
