Manchester United's potential new owners have allegedly been invited to attend presentations at Old Trafford, which will take place over the next two weeks.

The Glazer family signalled towards the end of last year that they were open to selling the 20-time English champions or potentially bring in fresh investment.

British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani have both made offers to purchase the club, with the bids believed to be in the region of £4.5bn.

However, Man United's current owners, in particular Avram Glazer and Joel Glazer, are said to have placed a valuation of £6bn on the club, which they are not prepared to drop.

A recent report claimed that Sheikh Jassim is willing to walk away from a proposed deal, with the Qataris not prepared to heavily overpay when it comes to the Premier League giants.

According to BBC Sport, potential new owners of Man United, including Sheikh Jassim and Ratcliffe, have been invited to presentations at Old Trafford, which will be taken by senior club staff.

The report claims that representatives of Ratcliffe will visit towards the end of next week, although it is not yet clear whether the billionaire will make the trip himself.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Jassim's delegation are also due to travel to Manchester next week.

Despite the recent movement that has been made, any sale of the 20-time English champions will seemingly hinge on whether the Glazers are prepared to drop their asking price.

Both Avram Glazer and Joel Glazer are thought to be keen to explore the possibility of bringing in investment rather than agreeing to a major sale.

However, the four other siblings are believed to be looking to cut ties with the club.

At this stage, there has allegedly not been any further bids for Man United, who will be looking to bounce back from their shock loss at Liverpool when they return to action on Thursday night.

Erik ten Hag's side suffered a 7-0 defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday, and the club will now switch their attention to the Europa League, welcoming Real Betis for the first leg of their last-16 tie.

Man United are said to be making plans for the summer transfer window, with a big-money forward likely to be targeted, although the size of their budget is currently unclear due to the uncertainty surrounding the ownership situation. body check tags ::
