Manchester United will reportedly be forced to pay Sporting Lisbon another €5m (£4.2m) if Bruno Fernandes wins the PFA Player of the Year award.
The 26-year-old has been in excellent form for the Red Devils during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring 22 times and registering 13 assists in 40 appearances in all competitions.
Fernandes has 15 goals and 11 assists in 27 Premier League outings, meanwhile, and is regarded as one of the favourites to win the PFA award.
According to The Times, Man United would have to pay Sporting another €5m (£4.2m) if the Portugal international lands the award in question or finishes in the top three of the Ballon d'Or vote.
The Red Devils have allegedly already paid out the same amount on two occasions, when Fernandes made his 25th start and when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side secured a spot in this season's Champions League.
The Portuguese moved to Old Trafford for an initial £46.6m fee in January 2020.
