Jose Mourinho has insisted that Chelsea's 0-0 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford this evening was a fair result.
In a match that failed to live up to the billing, neither side ever looked like winning the game and the Portuguese coach admitted that the stalemate was the correct outcome.
"I think a draw was fair," Mourinho told Sky Sports News. "Our attacking play was not the best, my players kept more defensive positions and gave the ball away three, four, five times on the counter attack.
"I think my tactics were correct and when we swapped Andre Schurrle for Fernando Torres it didn't change a lot for me, we didn't create because of the system, and not because we had Andre or Fernando in, it was because we lost so many easy passes.
"It was a difficult match. We both wanted to win, but we both didn't want to lose."
The point took Chelsea to the top of the Premier League.
