Sacked Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will not be considered for the Real Madrid job, according to a report.
The Portuguese was immediately linked with a return to the Bernabeu following his departure from United on Tuesday.
Mourinho spent three years in charge of Los Blancos, winning one La Liga title and the Copa del Rey, and he left on good terms with Florentino Perez and with Jose Angel Sanchez in the summer of 2013.
Despite the recent links with a return to the Spanish capital, though, Marca reports that club directors are not thinking about hiring him in the short term or in the long term.
Madrid chiefs will instead supposedly give Santiago Solari their full backing for now, having only placed their former midfielder in permanent charge last month.
However, the same report also indicates that Madrid are not ruling out bringing in a new manager at the end of the season if Solari fails to capture any silverware, but Mourinho will definitely not be under consideration should that be the case.
