Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has hinted that he will not take over as Manchester United manager once Sir Alex Ferguson leaves.
Mourinho had long been tipped to be the 71-year-old's successor and has made no secret of his desire to return to the English game.
However, in an exchange with former United player Paddy Crerand on MUTV, Mourinho asked whether he could get him a free subscription to the channel. Crerand responded saying that only employees of the club did not pay the £6 monthly fee.
This prompted Mourinho into replying: "There is no chance. I have to pay."
Crerand responded: "You never know. One day?
"One day? No. I don't think so," Mourinho said.
"You never know? Life is strange," Crerand replied.
"You never know, but I don't think so," Mourinho said, before changing the subject.
Mourinho's Real Madrid side will take on Ferguson's Manchester United side in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie tomorrow night.
