Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly wants Gary Neville to be part of the coaching staff at Manchester United when David Moyes takes over as manager this summer.
It was announced on Thursday that Moyes would be replacing Ferguson at Old Trafford in July after the 71-year-old retires.
However, the current United boss is understood to be keen on the club hiring former defender Neville for his expertise on the training pitch, according to The Guardian.
Nevile, who is part of the England coaching team under Roy Hodgson, spent his entire 19-year professional career with the Red Devils until his retirement in 2011.
