Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has claimed that Wayne Rooney was 'the best striker he played with' at Old Trafford.
On Sunday, it was announced that Rooney, 31, had completed an emotional return to Everton, signing a two-year contract with the Toffees after spending 13 years with the Red Devils.
Neville took to Twitter to pay tribute to the experienced forward, and revealed that he considered Rooney to be not only the best striker he played with throughout his career, but also 'the best he saw' at the Theatre of Dreams.
Rooney leaves Man United as their all-time leading goalscorer, netting 253 times in 559 appearances for the 20-time English champions.
