Paul Pogba has insisted that he 'does not have any problems' with Sir Alex Ferguson as he prepares to make his second debut for Manchester United.

Pogba joined Man United as a teenager in 2009, but left on a free transfer just three years later after failing to convince then-Red Devils boss Ferguson that he was ready for first-team football.

The France international returned to Old Trafford from Juventus this summer for a world-record fee and he has played down suggestions that there will always be tension with Ferguson after what occurred in the early stages of his career.

"Big respect, the greatest manager in football. I don't have any problems with him and I never had any. The only problem maybe I had was I wanted to play. Maybe for him it was too early. For me it was too late, I was ready, and that's it," Pogba told Sky Sports News.

"I learnt a lot with him too. I will always respect him and I hope to meet him again. I always loved United to be honest. I left because I wanted to play and I wanted to show the world, show United, that I was ready to play and motivated to play This comeback shows that I left United but part of my head was still here."

Man United boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Pogba will play "some minutes" against Southampton in the Premier League on Friday night.
