Manchester United have handed new world-record signing Paul Pogba the number six shirt.
The 23-year-old France international completed an £89m switch to Old Trafford from Juventus in the early hours of this morning.
The midfielder played for United between 2009 and 2012 before leaving on a free transfer to Juve, where he won four Serie A titles, three Italian Super Cups and two Coppa Italias.
Today, United announced that Pogba will don the number six shirt - previously worn by Gary Pallister, Jaap Stam, Laurent Blanc, Rio Ferdinand, Wes Brown and Jonny Evans.
The midfielder wore the number six for three seasons at Juve, but then switched to number 10 when Carlos Tevez left the club.
