Cristiano Ronaldo has not travelled with his Manchester United teammates to Oslo for Saturday's pre-season friendly with Atletico Madrid at Ullevaal Stadion.

The Portugal international has been back training with the Red Devils this week after missing their pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia due to a personal reason.

Ronaldo is pushing to leave Man United this summer, with the 37-year-old believed to have told the club at the start of the month that he is keen to seek pastures new in the current market.

The team's official squad for the match with Atletico was released on Friday afternoon, and the Portuguese, as expected, was not present on the list.

However, there have been suggestions that the forward could be involved in Sunday's clash with Rayo Vallecano, which will be the team's final friendly of the summer.

In addition to Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Luke Shaw are notable absentees for the Red Devils, while Eric Bailly, Phil Jones and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are also not making the trip.

There are spots for new signings Lisandro Martinez and Christian Eriksen, though, with the pair expected to play some part in the contest with Diego Simeone's side.

Meanwhile, fellow new arrival Tyrell Malacia has made the trip, with the Netherlands international potentially starting at left-back for the 20-time English champions.

In total, 21 players have travelled, including midfielders Scott McTominay and James Garner, who both had their fitness issues during the pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia.

"Some of those absent from the squad will take part in Sunday's game against Rayo Vallecano, while others are ill or injured," read a statement on the club's official website.

Ethan Laird and Alex Telles have both travelled despite the recent speculation surrounding their futures, while there is also a spot for Uruguayan youngster Facundo Pellistri.

Anthony Martial was in strong form during the club's pre-season tour, finding the back of the net on three occasions in four matches, and he could lead the line against Atletico.

Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho are also likely to be in the starting side, with Bruno Fernandes potentially playing just ahead of Fred and McTominay in a midfield three.

Following the clashes with Atletico and Rayo, Man United will have a full week of training before opening their 2022-23 Premier League campaign at home to Brighton & Hove Albion next weekend.

Full travelling squad:

David De Gea, Tom Heaton, Matej Kovar; Diogo Dalot, Ethan Laird, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Alex Telles; Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes, Fred, James Garner, Scott McTominay, Facundo Pellistri, Donny van de Beek; Anthony Elanga, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho body check tags ::
