Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has described the support that the club's fans gave the team during their 3-0 victory away at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon as "brilliant".
Despite a host of negative results in all competitions this season, the United faithful have received praise for the way that they have stuck by manager David Moyes and his players.
Following the win against the Baggies, Rooney has expressed his appreciation and has called for more of the same during next weekend's encounter against rivals Liverpool.
"Great result Saturday. Fans were brilliant as always and I'm sure it'll be the same on Sunday against Liverpool, always a big atmosphere," the 28-year-old wrote on Twitter.
England international Rooney has scored scored 15 goals from 37 appearances for club and country this term.
