Former Wales international Robbie Savage believes that Premier League champions Manchester United may have already lost their grip on the title.
Only three games of the campaign have been played, but Savage believes that United's lacklustre activity in the summer transfer window leaves them at a big disadvantage in the title race.
The North-West outfit's only major signing was the capture of Marouane Fellaini from Everton on deadline day, following failed efforts for Cesc Fabregas, Fabio Coentrao, Thiago Alcantara and Ander Herrera.
Savage told BBC Sport: "I think the big argument is, have United lost the title this August? I think they possibly have.
"[They signed] Fellaini last minute, lost out on Coentrao, never got Fabregas, never got Thiago - Herrera was a shambles. So, I think United could have possibly lost the title this August like [Manchester] City lost it last year."
United, who are now under the guidance of manager David Moyes following Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement at the end of last season, currently sit seventh in the league table.
