Hull City manager Marco Silva acknowledges that his side's 0-0 draw at Manchester United gives them an "important" point, but stresses that there is more work to be done.

Hull City manager Marco Silva has said that he is pleased to have picked up an "important" point against Manchester United, but insists that there is still plenty of work to do for his side to avoid relegation.

The Tigers had picked up just one point from their previous 10 Premier League away games going into Wednesday's trip to Old Trafford, but they frustrated United to come away with a 0-0 draw.

However, with Crystal Palace and Swansea City both winning in midweek the gap to safety has grown to four points, and Silva urged his side to build on their unexpected Old Trafford haul.

"It is important. Of course it is important for us. It gives confidence for our team, our players, but we only got one point and we need more to achieve our goal," he told reporters.

"But okay it is important [to remember] we played against a big team and it is important when you come here and take one point."

Hull will next face Liverpool at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday.
