Manchester United duo Chris Smalling and Ander Herrera will have fitness tests to determine whether they can face MK Dons in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday evening.
Defender Smalling limped out of yesterday's Premier League match at Sunderland with a groin injury, while Herrera missed out altogether as he is nursing an ankle problem.
The club's latest signing, Marcos Rojo, is likely to again be unavailable as he is yet to receive his work permit.
United were the biggest draw of the second round after their seventh-placed finish in the Premier League last season meant that they weren't in the top group of seeds that receive byes into the third round.
