Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that youngsters Shola Shoretire and Hannibal Mejbri have been promoted to the first-team squad.
Shoretire, 17, signed a new long-term deal with the Red Devils earlier this month and has been in impressive form for the club's Under-23s side this term, scoring five times and contributing three assists in 13 outings.
Mejbri, meanwhile, has managed three goals and five assists in 13 Premier League 2 appearances this term, with the 18-year-old making a strong impression since arriving from Monaco in August 2019.
Speaking ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with West Bromwich Albion, Solskjaer has said that the two teenagers have now been promoted to the first-team squad.
"The young kids, we've moved Shola up with us, Hannibal will join us and we'll keep them with us for a while," he told reporters.
"It's the next step in their development, we've got to take the hit that when they play for the reserves they have to travel by themselves. It's a nice step for them, they've done really well."
Fellow youngster Amad Diallo was on the bench against West Ham United in the FA Cup on Tuesday.
