Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson says that he suspects Tom Cleverley has a broken foot.

Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson says that he suspects Tom Cleverley has a broken foot.

The midfielder was taken off during United's 5-0 win at Bolton on Saturday after a tackle from Kevin Davies.

Cleverley later emerged from the away changing rooms with his foot in a protective cast.

"We think it is a broken foot," said Ferguson. "It is unfortunate but we expected it. It was a bad tackle."

The win took the Red Devils top of the Premier League on goal difference ahead of local rivals Manchester City.
