Erik ten Hag is reportedly set to give academy graduate Zidane Iqbal more first-team opportunities at Manchester United.
The 19-year-old midfielder was a regular for the club's Under-23s team last season, scoring four goals in 25 appearances, but he has only featured once for the senior side.
Iqbal's solitary first-team appearance saw him come on as a late substitute to make his debut in the 1-1 draw at home against Young Boys in a Champions League group-stage fixture in December last year.
According to The Sun, Iqbal has already impressed Ten Hag in pre-season training, and the Red Devils boss has questioned why the Iraq international has not featured more regularly in the first team.
Teenage starlets Hannibal Mejbri and Alejandro Garnacho are also understood to have caught Ten Hag's eye this summer, and with United yet to put their stamp on the transfer market, a number of their young prospects could be promoted to the senior side for the 2022-23 campaign.
United have only made one new signing so far this summer, with defender Tyrell Malacia joining the club from Feyenoord on a four-year contract. body check tags ::
