West Ham United's James Tomkins has accused Manchester United striker Robin van Persie of 'maliciously' elbowing him during Sunday's encounter at Upton Park.
The 25-year-old suffered a broken nose as a result of a second challenge from Marouane Fellaini, but Tomkins believes that Van Persie's challenge had intent.
"Fellaini was the second time in the match when I broke it," The Express quotes Tomkins as saying. "He has always got that about him when he goes up with his hands a lot.
"It is tough to say that he does it deliberately, but with the Van Persie one, he had a look at me first and then he has gone for me. That was more malicious than the other one, even though I came out worse the second time."
West Ham were close to sealing all three points at the weekend, but a stoppage-time goal from Daley Blind rescued a 1-1 draw for the visitors.
