Antonio Valencia has conceded that his transition from a winger into a full-back is still ongoing.
The Ecuadorian arrived at Manchester United from Wigan Athletic in 2009 as an attack-minded player, but for much of this season, he has been used in a defensive role by Louis van Gaal.
When asked how he has adjusted to the positional switch, the 29-year-old conceded that he now has to "concentrate that little bit harder".
"When I'm attacking I feel like I'm still a winger, but when I'm defending and doing my job as a full-back, that's when I know I've got to concentrate that little bit harder because things are happening closer to my goal," he told MUTV.
Valencia is expected to be a part of the United starting lineup that takes on rivals Manchester City later today.
