Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is hopeful that defenders Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Jonny Evans's injury record will improve during his time at the club.
All three players have had problems with injuries during their time at Old Trafford and will all be missing for United's clash against West Ham United later today.
Van Gaal has admitted that he was aware of the trio's struggles in the past, but is confident that they can remain on the pitch in the future.
"I have been told and now they are confirming that," Van Gaal told reporters.
"But I have good hopes that we shall improve in that matter, because normally I don't have any injuries."
The injuries and a suspension for Tyler Blackett leaves Marcos Rojo as Van Gaal's side's only fit centre-back heading into the match against the Hammers.
