Netherlands striker Robin van Persie has pulled out of the squad for his country's international friendly with Germany on Wednesday.
The 28-year-old picked up a thigh injury in Manchester United's 3-2 win over Aston Villa at the weekend and has been deemed unfit to play.
Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost has been called up as a replacement for the experienced striker, but Schalke 04 forward Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is expected to be given a lone attacking role.
Van Persie has scored 11 goals in 14 games for United this season.
