The Premier League fixture between West Ham United and Manchester United has been delayed by 45 minutes after the away team arrived late at Upton Park.
The final match to be staged at West Ham's home ground had been scheduled to begin at 7.45pm, but United endured problems making their way to the stadium with reports and images on social media suggesting that their coach had been attacked by home supporters.
Those claims were backed up by Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, who has been quoted by Sky Sports News as saying that the coach was "smashed up".
Manchester United can move into fourth position in the table with three points in East London, while West Ham can haul themselves to within a point of the North-West giants if they can bid a fond farewell to their long-term home.
