Yaya Toure: 'Manchester United still in Premier League title race'

Yaya Toure claims that Man United and Tottenham Hotspur are still in with a shout of winning the Premier League, along with Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City.

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has insisted that as many as six sides are still in contention to lift the Premier League title this season, including rivals Manchester United who are currently 11 points off the pace.

Many have already ruled 13-time champions United out of contention following their sticky patch of form under Jose Mourinho, which has seen them win just two of their last 10 league encounters.

Toure expects to see the Red Devils, as well as Tottenham Hotspur four points above them, remain in the mix throughout the campaign, however, and admits that City's trip to another rival in Chelsea next weekend could play a big part in where the title ends up come next May.

"To be honest it's Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United," he told reporters. "The league this year is unpredictable and it's going to be decided in the last two or three months this year.

"When you are a top player and you only play once a week - like the Chelsea players, they only play once a week - it's easier to play well, it's easier to recover well and easier to take full advantage.

"It's going to be a tough game on Saturday, that's for sure. They definitely have an advantage. It's difficult to play midweek and then the weekend after. Sometimes with the European schedule we play on a Wednesday, like this week, and then a Saturday. It's sometimes tough to be focused and in these kind of games, you have to prepare well to compete."

Chelsea lead the way at the top of the Premier League after racking up seven wins in succession, including a 2-1 comeback victory over Spurs last time out.
