Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has admitted that he found it hard to adapt to English football during his first season at the club.
The 21-year-old, who overcame a shaky start to establish himself as the club's number one stopper, has revealed that his English is now improving.
"My English is getting better. I understand most things but I find it harder to speak. English football is different, especially for a goalkeeper," he told The Guardian.
"It's more aggressive, more physical. It's far, far harder. The ball is in the air more and you get pushed about. And the referees don't blow [for] anything!"
De Gea is currently on Olympic duty with Spain.
