Newcastle vs. Nott'm Forest (Tuesday, 12.30pm)

St James' Park is the venue for the early Premier League kickoff on Boxing Day, as Newcastle United host Nottingham Forest at 12.30pm.

Both teams have weekend mistakes to rectify on Tuesday, as Eddie Howe's men lost 1-0 to Luton Town on Saturday, while Nuno Espirito Santo's first game in charge of the Garibaldi ended in a gut-wrenching 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth.

We say: Newcastle United 2-1 Nottingham Forest

While Newcastle's incredible streak of home successes cannot be overlooked, the confidence-sapped Magpies will not have it all their own way against a Forest crop seeking retribution for a perceived sense of injustice at the weekend.

Howe's decimated backline should not be expected to emerge from Tuesday's fixture unscathed, but with Santo also needing more time to solve Forest's defensive conundrum, Newcastle's effervescent attackers should have the wherewithal to make it eight home Premier League wins on the spin.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Bournemouth vs. Fulham (Tuesday, 3.00pm)

A new chapter of club history could be written for Bournemouth when they host Fulham at the Vitality Stadium in their Premier League Boxing Day fixture.

The Cherries marched to their third successive win in astonishing circumstances at the weekend, sinking 10-man Nottingham Forest 3-2, while the Cottagers left a lot to be desired in a 2-0 home loss to Fulham.

We say: Bournemouth 2-1 Fulham

Bournemouth have never won a Premier League Boxing Day fixture in five previous attempts - only Grimsby Town (eight) have a worse winless streak on December 26 in English top-flight history - and it will be fascinating to see how the Cherries cope in the absence of Iraola.

The suspended Spaniard will likely be celebrating come full-time, though, as the Cherries' attacking firepower remains too hot for many teams to handle, and Fulham have struggled to perform on the road all season long.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Sheff Utd vs. Luton (Tuesday, 3.00pm)

Separated by three points inside the Premier League drop zone, Sheffield United and Luton Town will scrap it out in a Boxing Day contest at Bramall Lane.

The Blades have been revived by Chris Wilder's return but still sit bottom of the table, while their visitors celebrated an emotional victory in their final fixture before Christmas.

We say: Sheffield United 1-0 Luton Town

This Yuletide six-pointer could be tightly contested, as both sides have tightened up of late, as they belatedly come to terms with life in the Premier League. Luton's first clean sheet arrived at the weekend, but they will not repeat that feat on Boxing Day, with Sheffield United slight favourites to prevail in a close battle at Bramall Lane.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Burnley vs. Liverpool (Tuesday, 5.30pm)

Second best meets second worst in a Premier League Boxing Day clash at Turf Moor, as Burnley welcome Liverpool to their Lancashire home.

Vincent Kompany's side strengthened their survival bid by unexpectedly beating Fulham 2-0 at the weekend, while the Reds' pulsating top-of-the-table battle with Arsenal ended in a 1-1 draw.

We say: Burnley 0-2 Liverpool

Each of Liverpool's last six Premier League Boxing Day fixtures has seen the Reds emerge triumphant, and it should be a case of seventh heaven for Klopp's side at Turf Moor, in spite of Burnley's recent morale-boosting away success.

Kompany's men would do well to target the visitors' depleted left-hand side, and Klopp's team may not be at their scintillating best after expending their energy reserves against Arsenal, but they should have enough to temporarily rise to top spot.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Man Utd vs. Aston Villa (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Condemned to their worst set of pre-Christmas results for 93 years, an off-colour Manchester United return to Old Trafford for a Premier League Boxing Day battle with title-challenging Aston Villa.

The Red Devils' plight continued in a 2-0 defeat to West Ham United over the weekend, while the Lions' magnificent winning home run came to an unexpected end in a 1-1 draw with Sheffield United.

We say: Manchester United 1-1 Aston Villa

Not since the 1978-79 campaign have Man United lost a Boxing Day home fixture, but unwanted records have been matched and broken left, right and centre for the Red Devils this season, and their meek attacking threat is often nullified far too easily.

Then again, Aston Villa are hardly the masters of defensive discipline away from home, and with the hosts' beating of Chelsea proving that they are capable of turning up the Old Trafford heat when a response is required, we can envisage Ten Hag's men capitalising on Villa's rearguard concerns to claim a creditable point.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
