Jose Mourinho is reportedly fighting for his Manchester United future as 90% of his squad no longer want him at the club.
Defeat to arch-rivals Liverpool on Sunday would make this the Red Devils' worst-ever start to a Premier League campaign, having collected just 26 points from their first 16 matches.
Under-fire manager Mourinho has publicly hit out at a number of his players, most notably World Cup-winning midfielder Paul Pogba, and he is said to be living on borrowed time.
According to The Sun, the Portuguese has even lost the support of certain backroom staff members, many of whom believe they will outlast the ex-Chelsea manager at Old Trafford.
The report also claims that United's plans to install a director of football next year will further accelerate Mourinho's exit, with the 55-year-old now in desperate need of a positive result at Anfield to stop others in the dressing room turning on him.
Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes issued a statement last week insisting that the three-time Premier League title winner has no intention of quitting United.
