Everton manager David Moyes has reportedly travelled to London to hold talks with his chairman Bill Kenwright.
Fifty-year-old Moyes has been made the clear favourite to take over at Manchester United from Sir Alex Ferguson, who confirmed earlier today that he is to stand down from the position after 27 years in charge.
It had been claimed that Moyes was already heading to the capital to watch Chelsea take on Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge, but he will also meet Kenwright, according to Sky Sports News.
There has been no official word as to what those discussions will be about, although the vacancy at Old Trafford is thought to be high on the agenda.
Moyes's contract with Everton is due to expire in the summer.
