Darren Fletcher has been named among Manchester United's substitutes for tonight's friendly encounter against Aberdeen.
The Scottish international has not featured for the Red Devils since December 2011 because he has been suffering with ulcerative colitis, a chronic inflammatory bowel condition.
While no timescale has been put on Fletcher's permanent return to the fold, his inclusion against the Dons has led some to speculate as to whether he may be available over the coming weeks.
Man United: De Gea; M Keane, Blacket, Thorpe, Ferdinand; Powell, Anderson, Bebe, Giggs, Scholes; Macheda
