Boss Jose Mourinho makes eight changes to the Manchester United starting lineup for the Premier League fixture at West Ham United.

Boss Jose Mourinho has made eight changes to the Manchester United starting lineup for the Premier League fixture at West Ham United.

Last Friday, United succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion, and Mourinho has reacted by keeping just David de Gea, Chris Smalling and Paul Pogba in his first XI.

United will likely line up in a 3-5-2 formation, with Victor Lindelof and Phil Jones coming into the defence and Luke Shaw being given a start at left wing-back.

Ander Herrera and Scott McTominay are both named in midfield, with Jesse Lingard expected to play off Alexis Sanchez in attack.

As for West Ham, David Moyes has opted to name an unchanged team after the Hammers secured Premier League survival with a 2-0 victory over Leicester City last weekend.

However, there is a change on the bench with Joe Hart having recovered from illness to act as backup to Adrian.

West Ham United: Adrian; Rice, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Zabaleta, Noble, Kouyate, Masuaku; Joao Mario, Lanzini, Arnautovic
Subs: Hart, Carroll, Hugill, Obiang, Evra, Fernandes, Cullen

Manchester United: De Gea; Lindelof, Smalling, Jones; Valencia, Herrera, McTominay, Pogba, Shaw; Lingard, Sanchez
Subs: Romero, Bailly, Mata, Martial, Blind, Young, Rashford
