AC Milan have reportedly tabled an opening offer of £12m for Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot.
The 22-year-old has made a positive impression on loan with the Rossoneri this term, playing a starring role in their Europa League campaign before his parent club dumped them out in the last-16 stage.
Dalot's form has naturally led to talk of Milan striking a permanent deal for the full-back, although a recent report claimed that Stefano Pioli is instead prioritising a move for soon-to-be free agent Elseid Hysaj.
However, Metro claims that Milan and Man United have indeed entered talks over making Dalot's stay at San Siro permanent, with the Rossoneri opening with a £12m bid for the defender.
However, the report adds that the Red Devils are holding out for a bid closer to £18m, otherwise Dalot will return to Manchester and do battle with Aaron Wan-Bissaka for the right-back spot ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.
Dalot has scored two goals and assisted two more for Milan in all competitions this term, but he has only started eight games in Serie A. body check tags ::
