AC Milan will reportedly rival Manchester United in their pursuit of Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic in the January transfer window.
Mandzukic has been considered surplus to requirements in Turin under new boss Maurizio Sarri, who has not handed the Croat a single appearance so far this term.
Reports have claimed that United had struck an agreement in principle with the Old Lady regarding the transfer of Mandzukic, who came close to moving to Old Trafford over the summer.
According to Tuttosport, the Rossoneri plan to launch a bid of their own for the 33-year-old striker when the January window opens.
Mandzukic has been identified as a key target for United in January amid a marked lack of experience in the club's attack following the departures of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku.
Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici recently made it clear that Mandzukic was free to speak with other clubs about a January transfer.
