Manchester United are nearing an agreement for Odion Ighalo to remain at Old Trafford beyond next week, according to the player's agent.
Ighalo arrived in Manchester on an initial six-month loan deal from Chinese outfit Shanghai Shenhua and has amassed four goals from eight appearances for the Red Devils since January.
The 30-year-old's temporary deal is set to expire at the end of May, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are understood to be in talks with Ighalo's parent club over an extension.
Speaking to Foot Mercato, the striker's agent Ladi Salami said: "The Super Eagle feels very good in Manchester with whom he is very close to a salary agreement. Negotiations with the Chinese are ongoing and are going well."
The Premier League has been suspended since March due to the coronavirus outbreak, but along with the Chinese Super League, England's top flight is scheduled to resume next month.
