The agent of Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has claimed that Bayer Leverkusen are interested in resigning his client.
Berbatov spent five years with the German club until 2006, when he signed for Tottenham Hotspur.
A £30m move to United followed in 2008 but his contract with the Red Devils is due to expire in the summer.
"It's more than a rumour. Leverkusen have it on their minds to get Berbatov. There is contact, but nothing concrete yet. It all depends on United's plans," representative Ivan Dobrinov told Bild.
"The player has never forgotten Leverkusen, the club is still very dear to him. Furthermore, he has a good relationship with the leadership at Bayer."
Berbatov has made 14 appearances for United this season.
