Massimiliano Allegri will reportedly include Patrice Evra in his backroom staff should he become the next manager of Manchester United.
Evra featured for the Red Devils between 2006 and 2014, winning the Champions League and five Premier League titles, and remains a popular figure among United supporters.
Allegri has been tipped as the next man to assume the managerial post at Old Trafford following a miserable start to the 2019-20 season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with United hovering two points above the relegation zone after eight Premier League games.
According to the Daily Mail, the former Juventus manager has promised Evra a place in his backroom staff should he become United manager in the near future.
Evra moved to Turin in 2014, the same summer that Allegri joined, and made 82 appearances for the Serie A side.
The Frenchman, having retired from football over the summer, has often spoken of a desire to assume a coaching role at United.
