Arsenal have reportedly entered the race to sign Manchester United defender Chris Smalling.
The 30-year-old, who is currently on loan at Roma, has become a key man for the Italian outfit this season as they sit fifth in the Serie A table.
Smalling's performances have also attracted interest from Everton and Tottenham Hotspur, and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Gunners have now joined the race for the defender.
However, the report also claims that the England international is keen to see if Roma quality for next season's Champions League, although sporting events in Italy have been put on hold due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Smalling has made 21 league appearances in the heart of the Roma defence this season, registering two goals and one assist in that time.
United are said to value the defender at £25m, leading to claims that Paulo Fonseca's side may be priced out of a deal.
