Arsenal and Manchester United could reportedly battle for Roma forward Tammy Abraham during this summer's transfer window.

Both clubs are looking for short-term options in January, as Arsenal have lost Gabriel Jesus to a knee injury, while Cristiano Ronaldo's exit has left Man United short in the final third of the field.

The Gunners are currently being strongly linked with Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix, while Burnley's Wout Weghorst appears to have emerged as Man United's leading target on loan this month.

However, both sides are expected to move for new strikers this summer, with Erik ten Hag's side in particular bidding to bring in a long-term number nine.

Napoli's Victor Osimhen continues to be linked with a switch to the club, but according to La Repubblica, Man United are keeping a close eye on Abraham's situation in Rome.

The report claims that Arsenal are also monitoring developments, with the former Chelsea forward potentially being available during this summer's transfer window.

Abraham moved to Roma in the summer of 2021 off the back of scoring 30 goals and registering 12 assists in 82 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions.

The England international starred during his first campaign in Rome, scoring 27 goals and registering five assists in 53 appearances in all competitions.

Abraham netted 17 Serie A goals last term, while he also scored nine times in the Europa Conference League, as Jose Mourinho's side won the trophy, overcoming Feyenoord in the final.

The forward has found it difficult to show his best form this season, though, only scoring four goals and registering two assists in 21 appearances in all competitions.

Abraham has a contract in Rome until June 2026, but there have been claims that he could be on the move during this summer's transfer window, with Chelsea said to have a buy-back clause.

"For me my focus is to do exactly what I did last year here," Abraham recently told journalist Ojora Babatunde when asked about his future. "I'm happy here, the team is good, the manager is good. The city, the fans, I'm happy. Only God knows the future."

The forward has scored just once for Roma in Serie A since the middle of September, and he was only a second-half substitute in the team's 1-0 win over Bologna in the league on January 4. body check tags ::
