Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham are reportedly among a number of clubs considering a summer move for Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez.
The 22-year-old has been one of the most prolific strikers in Europe so far this season, scoring 21 goals in 23 appearances for Feyenoord across all tournaments.
Gimenez has netted 19 of those goals in just 17 Eredivisie matches to help Feyenoord climb up to second in the table, albeit still 12 points adrift of runaway leaders PSV Eindhoven.
The Mexico international previously scored 28 goals in 50 appearances for the Rotterdam-based outfit in his first season with the club in 2022-23 after joining from Mexican side Cruz Azul.
Gimenez is under contract at Feyenoord until the summer of 2027, but his remarkable form in front of goal has unsurprisingly led to speculation about a potential transfer to a top European team.
A recent report claims that Europa Conference League winners West Ham United are tracking Gimenez and are considering a January swoop for the striker.
However, Football Insider reports that Feyenoord are against the idea of losing their star striker midway through the season.
Feyenoord could therefore be open to suitable offers for Gimenez in the summer, with Arsenal, Tottenham and Fulham all said to be considering a move for the Mexican ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
However, all three Premier League clubs, as well as West Ham, could face stern competition from Manchester United, who have also been credited with an interest.
Chelsea are another English club that has been linked with Gimenez, while La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are also believed to be keeping tabs on the striker.
Gimenez has recently hinted at a possible future transfer away from Feyenoord, who are understood to value him between £30m and £40m.
"Starting off my journey in Europe here (at Feyenoord) has been a success," Gimenez told Marca. "The club has had success as they have gotten the most out of me.
"And I know they want to see me grow so they can sell me at the highest possible price. That is the reality that clubs like (Feyenoord) live off of that. There is the path, and I am very calm in that aspect."
Gimenez, who scored his most recent Eredivisie goal in Feyenoord's 2-2 draw with NEC on Sunday, is expected to feature in the club's next top-flight match away against Vitesse next weekend. body check tags ::
