Arsenal are looking to sign former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luka Modric, according to a report.
Manager Arsene Wenger has had a frustrating summer so far, with an attempt to sign Liverpool forward Luis Suarez being denied by the Merseyside club despite the Uruguayan admitting that he wants to leave.
The Daily Start reports that Wenger has now turned his attentions to Real Madrid's Croatian midfielder as he looks to add creativity to his squad.
Manchester United are also reported to be considering making an offer for the 27-year-old, after a bid to sign Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas failed and Thiago Alacantara moved to European champions Bayern Munich.
Modric joined Spurs from Dinamo Zagreb in 2008 for a £16.5m fee and spent four seasons at White Hart Lane before moving to the Spanish capital.
